12 tags of 2016 - september - wicked

Halloween is coming a bit early this year with my take on Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2016 Technique Remix! I love Halloween season, it's my favorite time of year so I had to go with a haunted theme for this tag.

For the distress paint patina technique, I went with an old blackened pewter color scheme. This was the first time I've used Yupo and it was exciting to try out Tim's resist technique. I smeared the first few test pieces but it allowed me to see how amazing this new paper was. I used purple alcohol ink and Tim's tile and mosaic stamp set. I wanted to keep it flat and simple, save for one or two embellishments, so I just hand-sewed right up the sides and used some of Tim's wicked ephemera pieces framed on black glitter paper.
