Irish Pride

I love St. Patrick's Day. My family is of mostly Irish heritage and Boston is known for its pretty incredible St. Patrick's Day festivities so it's not just another day around here. For this card, I was specifically inspired by one of my favorite crafters, Julie Ebersole and one of her cards that I totally fell in love with. I have a lot of cards I want to send out for this design so I knew it had to be clean and simple and relatively easy to mail.

This card was created for the Simon Says Stamp Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog for their Clover Challenge Challenge Blog for their Clover Challenge as well as the Sparkle & Shine Challenge One, featuring a clover for their inspiration too.

The stamp set is from Ellen Hutson, LLC and it's the Essentials by Ellen Fancy Thanks set. I've stamped it with Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I've stamped my sentiment, also from this stamp set, with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. As stated in my last post, I love letterpress paper and this card is made from Lifestyle Crafts A2 Letterpress Paper and I've used Tim Holtz Distress Paper as well. The sequins come from Pretty Pink Posh and the twine is from Hemptique.

  1. What an absolutely charming card and I love how you tied the luck theme into friendship. This is beautiful with the speckles and I love how you made the layers so distinct. I've never seen sequins going behind another layer like that before and I thought it was genius! Clever to make the sequins be in St. Patty's Day green and gold, too! The twine looks great when paired with the bling from the sequins and the whole thing is lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
